Background
Power-Zero has partnered with Coster Aerosols, a multinational provider of spray packaging solutions and aerosol filling equipment to develop a 1.2MW rooftop Solar array via a PPA.
Challenge
Coster Group, a family-owned multinational manufacturer, decided to work with Power-zero as part of its growth plan based on sustainability and innovation.
Coster Aerosols wants to be a leader in sustainability within their sector and this partnership with Power-Zero will allow them to do this.
Solution
Power-Zero secured a
15-Year Solar PPA to install the 1.2MW array
Power-Zero was appointed to install a rooftop solar PV system using 2,120 no. 580Wp solar modules and 8 Solis inverters for this system.
The 1.2MW system provides clean energy for Coster Aerosol’s site in Chesterfield. The PV generation should cover around 25% of the
site’s total electricity consumption.
The PV system should generate around 1,081,007kWh in Year 1.
The modules are installed over 7 roof aspects, a total of 2,120 no. 580Wp solar modules.
The 15-Year partnership will offset 236 tonnes of CO₂ each year
Result
Power-Zero’s approach to the project involved a strategic, client-focused methodology that addressed both technical and financial considerations.
Power-Zero assumed the financial and operational risks, including system performance and maintenance. This reduced any perceived risks for Coster Aerosol and made the PPA an attractive option.
Cost Efficiency and Long-Term Savings:
The PPA offered Coster Aerosol the opportunity to purchase solar-generated electricity at a lower cost than grid electricity, leading to immediate operational savings.
Risk-Free Solar Investment:
Power-Zero took on the financial and operational responsibilities of designing, installing and maintaining the solar system, reducing financial risk for Coster Aerosol.
